About Us

The Nature Store was created in 1995 by Jack Mikula and his son Neil Weininger. His daughter Pam had just graduated with a degree in Wildlife Biology and decided to join the team after a few years in field work specializing in lizard and bird research. After losing Neil to a very courageous fight with cancer, Joan Williams, a close family friend, joined the team and helped make the store the success it is today. In the beginning, we were shipping our products out of Pam's home. Today, The Nature Store has grown to include over 1000 products housed in our new warehouse, but continues to run on the same fundamental family principles it was built upon. Our goal is to provide quality, nature-related merchandise to families and educators in order to encourage the education and appreciation of nature. We will continue to strive to find the best products to meet that goal and we use Pam's wildlife expertise to do just that.

What is most important to us is the satisfaction of our customers. We will always make an effort to get your order out to you as quickly as possible. We know how exciting it is to be expecting that package!
